For Shawn

Ok, this is for Shawn. He is out of town 5 days out of 7 nowadays. We miss him a lot.

I know you might laugh Shawn :) but I heard this song today and thought of us (you, me, our family). It's an older song, but it didn't really mean anything to me until now.

Even though we are a thousand miles apart you are always with me in my heart and my prayers.

Anyway, here is a cheezy but sweet music video for you! I love you and I miss you. See you Friday.

Blue and Gold Banquet

We had our cub scout Blue and Gold Banquet tonight, and somehow I became in charge of it. When I become in charge of something it's never good for Shawn because then he gets roped into doing something too! He is so good at everything it's hard not to ask him to do stuff. So, this time I asked him to build and Arrow of Light box that lights up. Two boys were getting their Arrow of Light and I thought it would make it more special. Shawn being his wonderful self did build me a box even though he was traveling so much for work. It looked fabulous and added to the program! Thank you my Shawn! I love you, and I'm so lucky you are so so so handy. You amaze me! Here is the cool box. The whole thing went well. Shawn was out of town so he didn't see it in action. Here are some pictures Shawn-thank you again! By the way since I had to bring all of the kids with me Will loved it. He loved seeing all of the boys getting their awards. I think he's hooked and can't wait for his turn in scouts! I'm glad he got to go tonight!

Valentines

Nothing much happened for Valentines, but Claire's Valentines did change a little this year. Everyone in her class got a regular Scooby Doo card, but 4"special" people got "special" cards. She did the cards all herself this year too, so I just happened to notice that her best friends got a bigger card that cutely told them they were her best friends! I thoughts it was cute! Here are her best friends this year:

Belle (has been since kindergarten- they are Anna of Green Gables "kindred spirits")
Gabby
Alexa
Conner

I was trying to see if she thought anymore of Conner than a best friend (like a little crush), but they play together all of the time and truly he is one of her best friends!

Sweet! It was cute to see Valentines through my little girls eyes.

Ice Skating

We have the cutest little outside ice skating rink in our city. Claire's been wanting to take lessons for a couple of years, so finally we let her take them this year. It is only for the month of February since by March the ice will start to melt. The first week she spent a lot of time on her bottom, but now she is really getting the hang of it and having a lot of fun!

Shawn....

....is back at Boeing. He applied for a job at the end of last year and accepted and started a new job back at Boeing right after the start of the New Year! He is really glad to be back! He loves the manufacturing and airplane side of things! It is kind of deja vu though because he works with so many people he knew in Washington. I'll back up.... he got a job with Boeing here in Salt Lake (yes they have a plant here). The bad part for me is that he has to travel up to Washington a lot, and I mean A LOT. Anyway, I am glad that he was able to move into this job... and plus with all of this traveling up to WA I'm bound to get up there sometime too and see old friends!!! It's a big change, but a good one!

Silly Vivi!

Seriously she is such a goofball! She loves to dress up and be silly. She loves her brother and sister. Claire is her second mom and Will is her best friend! She wears us out, but she also makes us laugh out loud all the time. She is our baby! My sweet crazy girl.

This is what you get when you have a bother and a sister. A fairy princess firefighter!

Vivi was riding her horse in her Jessie towel after bath time. A second after this picture was taken she ripped the towel off deciding it would be better to ride bare back... I mean bare naked :)

Winter!

We've been able to spend a lot of time in the snow this winter. Here are some picutes of us sledding and just having fun!

Belated everthing....

I'm going to catch up here and now.... Chritmas.... New Years..... up to Valentines all in one shot. Time just goes quicker and quicker lately. Slow down.
So, First, Here are some great pictures of Christmas. We had a great one! Vivi really loved it this year! She LOVED presents, and of course Will and Claire loved it too!
Before Chritmas we got together with Shawn's family for an annual tradition of making candy trains!!! This is another take on making gingerbread houses, but so original! Here is a picture of this years train! We love making these!

We also saw Santa! I wish I had a scanner because the photo they took of the kids is priceless. Claire and Will are smiling beautifully and Vivi is screaming her head off! I love it! It's the best picture ever. Anyway, we got a few pictures before Santa with our camera here they are:

Claire and Will mailing their letters to Santa!

Next is our advent calendar we did this year. It looks kida weird, but I bought a little Christmas tree and put little sock on it for each of the 12 days of Chritmas. Each day we took a sock off and saw what was in it. They were so small I would just write the things we did. We did things like see the lights, take presents to neighbors, go see Santa, a small present, new Chritmas books, the navity story, get a new ornament.... things like that. The kids looked forward to it every day.

Here is my Christmas present to myself!

No not a washer and dryer, but an empty washer and dryer. Seriously this NEVER happens. It was beautiful for all of 4 minutes :) Shawn did give me an awesome present though. I got a Nook! I love it! I didn't know if I would like an e-reader, but I'm in love with it!

Here is a picture of the excited kids on Christmas Eve, and the tent we built for them to sleep in together that night!

We had a wonderful Christmas!

New Years was great too! Here are some pictures of New Years Eve!
